Mapula Lodge

Mapula Lodge is one of the newest lodges in Botswana. Situated in the seasonal flood plains of the Okavango Delta, it can offer year-round water activities, and you will have hippos for neighbours as they live in a Okavango Delta lagoon opposite Mapula Lodge. Additional activities that you can enjoy at Mapula Lodge are African safari activities such as night game drives and walking safaris into the Okavango Delta.

At Mapula Lodge, you will be accommodated in one of its eight luxurious chalets built lovingly by local craftsmen. Each of Mapula Lodge’s chalet has en suite toilet and bath facilities. Mapula Lodge’s chalets have sweeping views of the lagoons of the Okavango Delta. Mapula Lodge also has a swimming pool, a sun deck and a fully stocked bar.

Mapula Lodge was built with the intention of restoring the dwindling number of wildlife in the Okavango Delta . Thus hunting is banned around Mapula Lodge and parts of the Okavango Delta. This makes Mapula Lodge a superb location for wildlife photography trips into the Okavango Delta.

There is a den of wild dogs near Mapula Lodge, and native guides have sighted eight lion prides in the surrounding region of the Okavango Delta. Cheetahs and leopards have also been spotted in the vicinity of Mapula Lodge and you will often see game animals such as elephants and buffaloes.
