African Fish Eagle - Haliaetus vocifer
The African Fish Eagle is very common in the whole of Africa especially in the vicinity of water, but rare in desert zones. This eagle is common and conspicuous throughout the Chobe-Linyanti-Okavango region. It feeds largely on fish and amphibian, but not disdain carcass. It is related to the Bald Eagle, more familiar to North American observers. Like the name implies, this species primarily feeds on fish.
